About Us

Feeding Windsor was launched in 2014 to serve members of our community struggling with issues of food insecurity because of living in poverty and isolation.  Feeding Windsor originally partnered with St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church but with their closure, we had to find a new partnership.  We found  New Song Church which was already providing food services for their community and with some discussion we both agreed that a partnership would beneficial.   So as of April 2017, Feeding Windsor and New Song Church began to work together.

Our Full-Time Director Rodger Fordham saw a need in the community and presented the idea to St. Andrew's church who quickly gave him the keys to the building and said  "we see a great need as well and the initiative you have presented will help fulfill many of them."  We are completely funded by donations from individuals, businesses, community organizations, and local churches in Windsor-Essex.

Feeding Windsor provides free breakfast, a lunch club, a supper club, and after-school snacks.  last year alone we served over 125,000 meals across Windsor-Essex

Our initiatives provide members of the community opportunities to come and volunteer their skills and service.  This year, we have logged over 25,000 volunteer hours this year alone.

Feeding Windsor partners with community service organizations to provide training opportunities to individuals who face severe employment barriers.  Through the years we have been able to, by the support training programs, see people find more permanent employment.

Our Mission

Our Mission has always been very simple.

We want to provide meals to those who have food insecurity issues and for those who may also suffer from social isolation.
